Service Groups In Our Church

There are many active groups both large and small at St. Johns. Some serve our parish needs, some serve community needs, and some do a little of both. They all have one common binding mission.

To demonstrate their love of God to others through their acts of service!

Episcopal Church Women
Are you a woman in the Episcopal Church? Well then, you're already a member. All women are welcome to become active members of this national organization and it is a wonderful way to express God's love through charitable acts.

Episcopal Church WomenAt St. John's as an active member of the "ECW" you could help host our Sunday morning hospitality coffee hour and help with funeral receptions. You'd also have a chance to join forces with other charitable groups and participate in collection drives for hospice, seamen, an Indian reservation school, the United Thank Offering, Church Periodical Club, and goodie boxes for family serving in the armed forces.

You could also use your talents as we explore ways to help the parish through the redevelopment process like assembling welcome packets for guests or other creative ways to "magnetize" our church.

St. Monica's Guild
St. Monica's Guild is dedicated to promoting growth in the individual by worship, study, working together in the church and community, and enjoying a friendship with each other and our families. Any woman is welcome to join. Meetings are held twice a month. Please contact the parish office for details.

St. Theresa's Guild
St. Theresa's shows their love of Christ through their work with women and children. Any woman can join. Outreach activities include

  • manicures for a local nursing home
  • Valentines for Children's Hospital "Have Heart-Do Your Part Radiothon
  • free craft table at a local Oktoberfest
  • support for battered women's shelter
  • support for Safe Landing, run away shelter

St. Theresa's is also instrumental with parish activities and helping with children's events and family nights.
