"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."
Galatians 2:20

St. John's Episcopal Church
Welcomes You To Our
Home on the Web

We're so glad you've stopped by. St. John's is an Episcopal Church that welcomes all people. You will find an eclectic blend of maturity and youth, believers and seekers, life long Episcopalians and those who are "testing the waters". Our community is knit together by our love of God and our desire to share that love with you through worship, acts of service, and spiritual formation.

Here you will find a safe place to think, to question, to learn and to grow. You are God's beloved child.

The Very Reverend Deborah Rankin answered our call and joined our parish in May 2007 to serve as our priest. This was a long journey for St. Johns, beginning with a two year period of reflection with an Interim Rector. During this time, we learned about the parish life cycle - growth/decline as well as renewal, redevelopment, and rebirth. Our Interim Rector prepared us to call a new Priest by teaching us to be better disciples of Christ, helping us reconnect with the Great Mission of the church and opening our hearts to the work of the Holy Spirit. With our new priest, we are ready to grow in Christ, redefine our ministry, and spread the Good News as the Holy Spirit guides us.

We hope you will join us as we welcome The Very Reverend Deborah Rankin to our parish and the Greater Summit County community.

Our Sunday Worship Time

8:00 a.m. Quiet Service with Holy Communion
9:30 a.m. Sunday School for Preschool-Elementary
10:00 a.m. Holy Communion with Music

We realize that children are often separated from their parents/guardians due to school, work, and activities. Young families are encouraged to bring their children to Sunday Worship so that we may all, regardless of age, celebrate the word of God together.

The "bell tower" in the worship area has Biblical storybooks, color books, and other spiritual activities. Every Sunday each child receives their very own "Children's Worship Bulletin" that will help them understand what we read from the Bible each week.

Our Wednesday Midweek Program

6:00 p.m. Lite Meal (last Wednesday of the month only)
6:30 p.m. Lessons

Every Wednesday join us for lessons for all ages beginning at 6:30pm. Adults are learning about spiritual journeys within the context of Natural Church Development while our younger counterparts are studying with Ms. Nancy Baxter.
